Websites of the Past

Traditionally, websites were just ' basic electronic brochures ' that were not interactive at all and allowed users to do little more than just look at a picture, read static text or retrieve basic information.

Viewed as basic, cheap, difficult to use ( expensive to update ) and designed to sit on the Internet indefinitely ... not really doing anything and then thrown away and replaced in a year or two.

Business owners saw these types of websites as a necessary evil and did not place very much value on them at all and ultimately they provided little real value to the business owner.
